- I watched the 1st explosion, heard it and felt it. It was 8:42 pm, the last at 2:30 am. A total of 7 explosions. Back about 40 yrs. ago, we had a barge hit the Cochrane Bridge. It had fumes from naphtha and when it exploded. It shattered every window from Spanish Fort--Point Clear on the Bay.
